Since 1985, Victory House has helped over 3,500 homeless men and veterans regain their lives. This work is an expression of faith, hope and compassion. We partner with other groups in a rotating schedule by preparing and serving a meal at Victory House on the second Sunday of each month. The relationships that have developed through this service ministry have made a positive difference as individuals build friendships and share life stories at Victory House.
The St. Paul’s soup kitchen ministry team will be traveling to the Victory house on September 12, October 10, November 14 and December 12 of this year. A signup sheet is located outside fellowship hall on the bulletin board. If you are interested in traveling to the Victory House to help serve, would like to prepare some food prior to the trip or have any questions about the Victory House at all, please contact Laura Foreman via email at foreman3@hotmail.com.

Annual “Chili Cook Off” | Victory House Soup Kitchen
On October 10, 2010, members of St. Paul’s traveled to the Victory House loaded with ten chili donations and all the fixings for the Third Annual Chili Cook-off. The team quickly got to work heating chilies, baking corn bread and preparing fresh garden salad. Once the residents gathered for dinner, the men at Victory House went right to work carefully tasting chili after chili. While some preferred the spicy varieties, a few chose to try the more mild options. Not one chili was the same as another and made the choice that much harder. But in the end, there was one clear winner with a strong runner-up. All residents finished with a favorite chili and a full stomach just in time to watch the Eagles and Phillies win that night.
Thank you to all who traveled with the group, prepared chili for the Victory House and supported our trip through monetary or food donations. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!
The St. Paul’s soup kitchen team will also be traveling to the Victory house on November 14 and December 12 of this year.

You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. – Galatians 5:13 (New International Version)
