William A. Vanderslice
The Rev. William A. Vanderslice was called by the congregation to be the senior pastor in 1991. He obtained a Master of Divinity degree from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia in 1983 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resources Management with a concentration in sociology and psychology from Upsala College in 1979. In 2009, he completed the interim and transitional ministry training of the Interim Ministry Network.
Pastor Vanderslice served six years as the Dean of the Upper Montgomery Lutheran Conference of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod. He has represented the congregation through service on the S.E. PA Synod’s Candidacy Committee, Youth Ministry Committee and Committee on Lutheran Schools and the Upper Perkiomen Senior Center Board.
He currently represents the congregation as an ELCA Pastoral Intern Supervisor, chairperson of the S.E. PA Synod Bishop’s Convocation, chairperson of the S.E. PA Synod Worship Team, Treasurer of the Upper Perkiomen Ministerium and Vice President of the Thrivent Financial Upper Montgomery Chapter Board.
Pastor Vanderslice is married to Marcia L. Vanderslice, a middle school music teacher. They have two grown children.

Bonnie Bonser

Mrs. Bonnie Bonser serves as the administrator of the Upper Perkiomen Child Care Center and provides leadership with the congregation’s educational and family ministries. She joined the staff in January 2001.
Mrs. Bonser brings extensive experience in early childhood classroom teaching and administrative leadership within a congregational setting. Her educational background and additional work experience includes a bachelor of science in Elementary Education from Shippensburg University and a Master of Arts with a focus on educational and family ministries from Biblical Theological Seminary.
In 1999 she founded the Free Indeed Ministries, a non-profit incorporated prison ministry in the state of Pennsylvania.

Nancy Nase
Mrs. Nancy Nase serves the congregation as its financial secretary and bookkeeper.
Mrs. Nase joined the staff in November 2002. Previously, she held the position of firm administrator at a local accounting company.
Mrs. Nase’s significant experience in the area of accounting and office management compliments her responsibilities at St. Paul’s.

Mrs. Margie Rodenberger and Mrs. Marcia Vanderslice provide musical leadership and program development within the congregation’s worship and music life and weekday child care music program.
Mrs. Rodenberger provides worship leadership at the pipe organ and piano for our traditional worship services. She is also available to play the organ or piano for weddings, funerals and other special worship services.
Mrs. Vanderslice directs the contemporary worship service and inter-generational hand bell choir. She also provides choral leadership within the congregation and its weekday child care program.

Beth Nichols

Mrs. Karen Quinn and Mrs. Beth Nichols joined the staff in March 2010.
They bring extensive experience in working with volunteers and non-profit community based organizations. Their administrative gifts and professional experience support the daily ministries of the congregation and its weekday child care program.

Vicar Ryan Ferwerda is a candidate for ordination in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and a third year student at the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. He is sponsored by the Eastern North Dakota Synod where he and Betsy, his wife of three years, lived before Ryan entered seminary.
Growing up in Saint Paul, Minnesota Ryan began his education in a Lutheran grade school and Lutheran high school. His education continued at North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota starting in 2004. While attending North Dakota State Ryan received his degree in University Studies which allowed him to study subjects such as Religion and Children & Family Science. Ryan graduated from North Dakota State in December 2008 and he and his wife moved to Philadelphia the following fall.
Vicar Ryan is serving his internship year at St. Paul’s – Red Hill from August 2011 – August 2012.

Sandy Young

Teresa Kulp-Weber
Ms. Teresa Kulp-Weber, UPCCC pre-school program coordinator and Ms. Sandy Young, UPCCC school age coordinator work closely with the director of education and family ministries to enhance the daily program of the Center. They were appointed program coordinators in 2006 and previously served as lead classroom teachers at the Center.
Together they have helped lead the Center to earn and maintain STAR 2 in the Keystone STARS program. They hold professional memberships with ELEA and PACCA, organize yearly fundraising events for local charities and maintain 12 plus hours yearly of professional development training related to early childhood education and school age programming, CPR and first aid certification.
Ms. Sandy Young received her School Age Program Director Credential in 2006 from the Montgomery County Early Learning Center – Southeastern PA School Age Division.
Ms. Teresa Kulp-Weber received a BS degree in Elementary Education in 1991 from Bloomsburg University and completed the Keystone STARS core series training for directors.

Scott Moyer
Mr. Scott Moyer works closely with the volunteer members of our Property and Cemetery Committee to care for the church facility and cemetery which is located on a 45 acre campus.
Mr. Moyer joined the staff in February 2010.
